Grenson Boots, 50% Off

chukka1This weekend, I picked up a fantastic pair of chukkas from English bootmaker, Grenson, part of an unheard of half-price sale at Orchard St. store First Among Equals. NB, the prices are misrepresented on their site. Marika, the girl helping me, happily mentioned that the online price was wrong and that she was working to correct it. For best results, stop by the store or call (212) 253-2202, and explain that you’d like to purchase a pair, but you heard the web store wasn’t working.

English sizing runs a full size smaller than US. Everything in store is 50% off.

Esquire’s Handbook of Style

Esquire Magazine’s Handbook of Style arrived literally moments ago. Giving it a quick flip, it is now painfully obvious all those sheets I’ve torn from back issues and stuffed in a file may well be for naught. While Clothes and the Man still suits me fine, this well-appointed tome, more so than their annual Black Books, could be the defining men’s guide for some time to come. I imagine I’ll refer to it here from time to time, and I hope you would refer to it there.
